National Education Union
The Branch is urging every member to vote in the union's indicative ballot.
The ballot will open on Saturday 28 February. You will be able to vote via email or via the text from the national union.
This indicative ballot is the first step in opposing the government's cuts to education. By proposing a three year, unfunded, below-inflation pay deal, the government is attacking our pay, exacerbating the recruitment and retention crisis and forcing schools to make cuts. It is not good enough and we must fight to save education.
The NEU is the biggest education union in both the UK and Europe. It represents both teachers and support staff across England and Wales. Over 5,600 teachers and 950 support staff are members of the NEU in Lancashire.
Lancashire NEU Branch represents our members in schools from Morecambe to Ormskirk, Fleetwood to Colne and everything in between. The Branch represents members in all Local Authority schools and academies covered by Lancashire LA. We also meet regularly with the local authority to defend our members’ interests.
